First American Edition, "The Tale of Little Pig Robinson," by Beatrix Potter. Philadelphia: David McKay Company, 1930. No additional printings listed. No dust jacket. The book is in very good to near fine condition. Hard boards, original cloth with paste-down illustration on the front board and gold stamped spine with minimal soiling and wear. Minimal yellowing and foxing on some pages. Page 66 has 1/4" tear on page edge, otherwise this book is in very good condition. Illustrated endpapers; 6 color plates (which are a little wavy) on special glossy paper including frontispiece. Altogether 141 pages with 25 black and white illustrations which are not present in the first UK edition. This is the first printing of the first U.S. edition with 25 additional illustrations not present in the British edition. Scare, especially in this condition. We welcome all questions.
