For UPS, use the driver from UPS web site (after login, go to "My UPS", "Shipping", "Create a Shipment", "Set Preferences", "Install UPS Thermal Printer").

For Endicia/FedEx or other programs, please use driver from zebra.com, especially HERE.

For some softwares, adjusting speed lower / darkness darker may be necessary, depending on the contents sent to the printer. Zebra claims UP TO 4-inch/second, that is to print sparse/simple letters and barcodes. It doesn't mean able to print any contents at that fast speed. For off-lease / used ones, we recommend customer try the darkest level and slowest speed first, if you can't get satisfactory results at default settings. The following is a sample instruction to adjust speed/darkness settings in Windows "Control Panel" (different drivers may have different, but similar, steps).

Generally speaking, for off-lease 2844 printers, those made in 2005 or 2006, should perform a little better than those made in 2003, 2004. While 2007, 2008 ones may perform even better. That's why here we are selling them according to different years. We test every printer before shipping with UPS's sample shipping label at a certain speed.

If you ship lots of packages, some major shipping companies might provide thermal label to you for FREE. Or ebay has lots on sale all the time, at good prices. (try search "2844 labels", "4x6 labels", "4 x 6 labels" etc. on ebay).

It could use other size of labels, width could vary between 1" to 4.25", length could be up to 22 inches. Besides label rolls, it can also use fan-fold or continuous labels.

Printer should work with most Windows programs, yet we don't provide tech support for other than UPS, FedEx, USPS, Endicia.com, Stamps.com, eBay/Paypal Shipping, because printing results depend on contents sent to printer (some contents/commands may reset speed to fastest 4-inch/second, which is beyond our help).

In case a package is returned to us due to wrong shipping address or customer failed to pick up delivery on time, customer need pay extra DOUBLE shipping fees to get it re-shipped, due to shipping carrier charge us same (if not more) shipping fee to return the package to us.

USA Indiana residents pay 7% tax.
