Handmade Marbles

A nice set of three antique marbles.  These are about 3/4 inch (20mm) in diameter.  Each of the marbles (actual photos) is a different shade of green.  All three have the tell-tale swirl of a hand made marble.

I find these every year when I turn up the garden.  My home is in Newark, Ohio home of Owens Corning Fiberglas and the former Heisey Glass Works.  I'm told that in the old days the men at the plant would make these from leftover glass and bring them home for their children.
