Three years after AUGUST AND EVERYTHING AFTER paved the Triple A way for the likes of Hootie & The Blowfish, Counting Crows take a more aggressive tack with their sophomore release. As with the debut, the sound takes its cue from singer Adam Duritz's introspective lyrics, but Duritz deals with especially weighty topics this time--the ups and downs of fame are on his mind now--and the band's approach is more slashing than subdued.
The yearning "Catapult" opens the record with a quavering guitar and Mellotron, but it gives way to the crashing cymbals, raging guitar and screaming organ of "Angels Of The Silences," a song about rejection. Even the strings on "I'm Not Sleeping" attack with an angry urgency before they are finally consumed by Dan Vickrey's squalling guitar. The Counting Crows showed off their bark on their debut; now they're showing off their bite.

Counting Crows - Recovering The Satellites - New Sealed CD

Excellent second cd includes Angel Of The Silences, Goodnight Elisabeth, A Long December & more. The cellophane is torn. DGC 24975.

Please note we use ebay's "pre-filled listing" information because we believe using it is necessary for success on ebay at this time. However, at times ebay's "pre-filled information" is wrong.. We stand 100% by the information that WE WRITE in the description; but we can not & will not guarantee the accuracy of what ebay writes.

We require postal insurance to ship to the following countries:

Items are new if they state "New" &/or "Sealed". Otherwise they are used. Used items are close to mint condition (with the possible exception of jewelcases) UNLESS stated otherwise. All items are USA issue UNLESS stated otherwise. Unlike dvd's, cd's from any country will play in your cd player!

While we use sturdy packing materials & try to mention issues with jewelcases, WE DO NOT GUARANTEE JEWELCASE CONDITION. Some of our new cd's have store price tags on them. When we remove the price tag, it may cause a small tear in the cellophane. This obviously does not damage the cd in any way.

If you use email filters, when you bid on our auctions PLEASE modify your email filters to allow all email from any dandylionrecords address to get through. Otherwise, our confirmation notice may end up in your bulk mail filter.

We are required to charge 8.8% sales tax to Washington State residents. This only applies if you live in the state of Washington in the United States.

We will not accept Credit Card or PayPal payments from users with Private Feedback.

(the fine print: Our USA shipping charge for single & double cd's in normal packaging is whatever ebay allows, per their rules.  Heavy items may have a higher shipping rate as per ebay policies by using "calculated shipping". Optional insurance is $1.00 per $100 in the US & $1.75 per $100 international

Our current rates are as following to send 1 cd airmail outside of the USA:

Canada $4.50 USD. All other countries are $8.00 USD. Multiple cd sets are higher. Larger orders will include a $1.00 charge for the box, actual postage & a $1.50 handling fee.

We can send up to 10 cd's WITHOUT jewel cases to most countries by airmail for $12.15 USD!
