| You are bidding on battery operated Super Man Robot, made in Taiwan in the late 1970s by Tai Fong. Part no. TB-903. He is plastic, 9" (23cm) tall, with red face & torso, blue legs, and yellow arms with attached silver swords. He has a large "V" sticker on his chest. Super Man looks absolutely nothing like Superman, the comic book hero who leaps tall buildings and hooks up with Lois Lane. That is a different guy.
During operation, Super Man can move on his feet, or on his back. In standing position, he walks forward and moves his arms in circles. When on his back, he glides forward until his moving arms touch a surface, propelling him back into a standing position. Fun stuff! (note: Requires 2 AA batteries, although the box instructs to use 1 "C" Cell.)
Super Man Robot is in good working condition. When tested, battery operations functioned well. The toy performed all of the actions described above. Original box is in good condition, with wear at edges and corners. Bubble is intact, but fragile and starting to separate from box. Includes form-fitted inserts. Tai Fong Super Man will display well, and make a great addition for any robot or space toy collection. Please see photos.
From the box: "MYSTERY ACTION
Walking, Sliding, Hand Circling
Auto Standing When Fall Down" Requires 2 AA batteries (not included) |
