This lovely abstract painting features warm colors arrayed in a field next to a pale strip and a blue field, similar to a skyline. It brings to mind a view of the earth from above, perhaps a bird's-eye or aerial view of townships and farmland. Still, Reynold's abstract art usually ranges far and beyond simple landscapes, so this piece may have additional symbolism beyond the terrestrial viewpoint!
The painting is still in very good condition for its age. It has no cracklature or punctures. A piece of this size and style, signed Lee Reynolds, is most likely to date to the mid 1960s, though other dates are possible. It bears the sticker of Vanguard Studios, which may date it to before 1974.
