Early NORITAKE AZALEA 8 PC LOT-Incl.Whip Cream + Sugar!
This gorgeous group of VINTAGE NORITAKE PORCELAIN, IN THE "AZALEA" PATTERN, CONTAINS 7 PIECES, 8 WITH THE LID OF THE SUGAR BOWL! Both the GREEN marks and RED marks are present. The GREEN MARK IS ON THE SUGAR BOWL AND THE WHIPPED CREAM FOOTED BOWL. The RED MARK IS SEEN ON THE DINNER PLATE ONLY.
THIS SET INCLUDES:
1- 10" DINNER PLATE with gold trim (some wear to gold edge), having the "red" mark. NO damage, only some utensil wear to the inner plate and gold edge wear mentioned. NO chips, NO cracks.
3- 5.5" SAUCERS, with gold rim. These have NO mark on them, as I assume only the cups would have been marked and as there are no cups, I cannot determine which mark they would be matched to. These 3 are in EXCELLENT CONDITION, with only minimal gold rim wear and some factory "pitting" as you often see with porcelain wears. This is NOT damage, but kiln fired issues. NO chips, NO cracks.
1- 2 PIECE WHIPPED CREAM, CONSISTING OF BOTTOM PLATE AND FOOTED BOWL. This is just so beautiful! The little ball feet have gold detailed painting and the background of the top portion of pink azaleas has a shimmering gold patina. Gold rim around both pieces. Fantastic condition, other than ONE SMALL CHIP AT RIM OF BOWL, as photographed. NO other chips and NO cracks. *Hard to find both pieces together. BOWL MEASURES 2" TALL, 4.5" ACROSS...BOTTOM DISH IS APPROX. 5+3/8" ACROSS. AS A "REPLACEMENT", THIS SELLS FOR AT LEAST $23.!!
1- 2 PIECE SUGAR BOWL, including LID. Measures 4" HIGH, 5.5" FROM HANDLE TO HANDLE. One minuscule "FLEA BITE" ON INSIDE LID, LOWER RIM (portion that dips down into piece). This is unseen unless searching or "feeling" and unseen when lid in place. I did not photograph this as I had not found it myself till now. Never fear...teeny tiny! This is also a stunning piece, but then, aren't they all!!?
