VINTAGE Wicker SEWING BOX-FULL of SUPPLIES-EXC.COND!!!
This Darling VINTAGE WICKER SEWING BOX WITH BEAUTIFUL, SKY BLUE SATIN LINING IS FULL OF 22 SPOOLS OF THREAD, RED & BLUE GINGHAM RICK RACK, OLD BLUE PLASTIC PATTERN WHEEL MARKER, 3 DECORATIVE PATCHES AND 10 PACKAGES OF SEAM BINDING & LACE!!! The Wicker Box, itself, MEASURES 7.5" X 7.5" AND IS APPROX. 5.75" TALL, with a double Loop Closure, wooden top and bottom and lovely, twisted straw, woven between the silvery wicker slats. The outer box is in VERY GOOD CONDITION, with only some slight "shrinkage" to the wicker on one corner and at the seam on the back of the lid. This gives the appearance of a slight "warping" to these 2 small areas, but I think it is simply due to the age of the piece. All of the sides, top and wicker areas, are in gorgeous condition as seen in the photos. The inside is amazingly CLEAN and done in a fabulous, baby blue or sky blue color with small pearls set into the "tufting" on the lid. Many of the thread spools are the old, WOODEN type and all of the Vintage Seam Binding/Lace is NEW IN IT'S ORIGINAL PACKAGE, other than 2 or 3 of the packs. There may be slight tears in the cellophane on a few, but such fun to find these older items in close to original condition!
This wonderful Vintage piece is marked on the bottom wood area, with "MADE IN JAPAN" and what appears to be a Derby Hat Logo.
