This old and unusual, VINTAGE TOOLED LEATHER HANDBAG/PURSE is much smaller than the others I have purchased and sold. The detail on this piece is exceptional and it comes to you in EXCELLENT CONDITION with absolutely NO problems!
This sweet little example is done with Brown Tooled Leather on the outside and a deep yellow color Leather on the inside. The light brown, outer stitching is made of leather as well. A gorgeous, Huge flower decorates the center of both the front and back of the purse, while a young ladies name is written at an angle, on each of the bottom sides of these panels. Script Lettering spells out "CYNTHIA CRADDOCK" so we must assume she was the original owner of this piece.
A thin, leather stitched handle is attached to each side of the bag, with gold tone hardware. Two brown snaps, one on each side, hold the handle in place and can be un-snapped should you want to remove the handle to use the purse as a cluch. One brown snap on each side of the top area of the bag, serves as a closure. The bag MEASURES 9.25" at the widest portion of the bottom, 6" across the top and stands 6.25" tall. The handle measures 16" from end to end and is removable.
This wonderful Vintage Purse is one of the sweetest pieces I have had the pleasure to bring you. The tooled flower and lettering are done with fabulous detail and superb workmanship. The leather is supple and smooth with very little wear, showing that this bag was well taken care of by it's previous owner. This is a lovely piece to add to your collection, display, handbag wardrobe or to give as a gift! It could easily be used as a child's purse as well, due to it's smaller size, but is just the thing when you want something smaller.
