This Vintage Bag is a square style with a wonderful, faux (fake) Alligator finish on the front side. It's bumpy texture and creases are so realistically done! Across the bottom of the "flap", is the cut out "dot", or "spectator" pattern, done in brown patent leather. The back of the bag is all brown patent leather, while the bottom features a half/half look with both finishes. The patent leather handle is a longer style, however, you can ADJUST THE HANDLE, to a shorter style, by simply un-snapping one side, and attaching it to the snap at the opposite end! A fabulous feature!!! The hardware on the bag is all gold-tone. The clasp of the piece is the old "twist" style.
The interior of the bag is taupe colored fabric and features 3 pockets. Two are open style and the 3rd is a zippered pouch. The fabric is in good shape with some age wear and a light amount of soiling on the upper, or flap portion. This appears to be a few lines of ink from a wayward pen. Not very noticeable and does not diminish the beauty of the bag itself.
This piece MEASURES 9.5" WIDE & 7.5" TALL, not including the handle. It is 3.5" at the sides, front to back and the handle is 27" from end to end, including the area that attaches to the bag. This wonderful, Vintage Purse is in VERY GOOD CONDITION, with only a tiny area, at the side, top edge, where one can see a bit of a "split" in the patent leather. This is not uncommon in Vintage pieces of this material and is not seen at all when the bag is closed and in use. The area measures a tad over .25". Other than perhaps needing a bit of a clean up, it is ready for use and perfect to add to your collection or handbag wardrobe!
