COLLECTION OF 20 CARTES DE VISITE (CDVS), BY SARONY, FEATURING ACTRESSES & ACTORS. All are light mounts with cursive photographer stamp on front. 12 are 'Sarony. 680 Broadway' and 8 are 'Sarony. 37 Union Square.' Only 1 has a backmark.

1. Handwritten on reverse: "Hattie Blanchard." Trimmed. A few small dark spots and specks. Slightly discolored at bottom. Rich tones, sharp with excellent details and lighting.
2. No identification. Trimmed. A couple of small spots and specks. Excellent tonal range, great pose, very good details and contrast.
3. "Actress" handwritten on back. Very light foxing. Light wear to corners. Excellent details, nice lighting, very good tones.
4. Handwritten on reverse: "Mrs. Oates." Clipped upper left corner. A few very tiny insignificant specks. Exceptional lighting and contrast. RIch tones, sharp.
5. "Lewis" handwritten on reverse. A few tiny spots and specks including a couple on her face. Rich tones, sharp with superb lighting to her face. Good contrast.
6. Handwriting on reverse appears to read "M Harvisa." Trimmed. Light foxing. A few dark specks. Great lighting, very good tonal range and details.
7. "Charles Thorne" handwritten at bottom. Dark spot below corner of eye at left. A few small spots and specks elsewhere. Brown spot upper left corner. Light wear to corners. Rich tones, nice lighting to his face. Good contrast.
8. Handwritten on back: "Dr. Holland." Spot at right edge, towards top. A few tiny light spots on his jacket. Very good tones, great profile shot.
9. No identification. Several patches of dark splotches on his jacket. Bottom portion faded. Mount is soiled and has wear to bottom right corners. Upper portion has good sepia tones. Nice pose with violin.
10. "Bob Ingersoll" handwritten on reverse. Small white mark below his sideburn. Several tiny spots and specks. Excellent lighting and contrast. Very good tones, sharp portrait.
11. "Moore" handwritten on back. Trimmed. Several tiny spots and specks. Slight discoloration at right edge. Excellent tonal range and details. Nice lighting to her face.
12. Handwritten on reverse: "Jane Coombs." A few tiny black spots and specks. Trimmed with corners clipped at bottom. Good tones, nice lighting, great details.
13. "Mrs. Callough" handwritten on back. Clipped corners. A few tiny dark specks including a couple on her face. Slightly discolored at bottom edge. Rich tones, excellent details and contrast.
14. Handwriting on back appears to read "Kate Valland." A couple of tiny spots at left edge. Rich tones, fantastic lighting to her face, great profile.
15. No identification. Trimmed. Clipped upper corners. A few tiny spots and specks, mostly in upper portion. Excellent lighting and contrast, sharp with very good tones.
16. Caption at bottom: "Nina Varian." A few small dark spots and specks. Fantastic lighting to her face. Sharp with excellent tones and details.
17. "Albani" handwritten on back. Clipped corners. Some foxing. A few other tiny spots as well. Excellent lighting, contrast, tones and details.
