Roseville Pottery Wincraft Hanging Basket Green 261-6

• Now here we have an unusual and hard to find item. I have not seen another one so far on ebay. I have see the wall pockets but not the hanging baskets. This is Roseville Wincraft Pattern 261-6 Hanging basket or pot or planter. Circa 1948
  
• They came in Green/yellow, Tan/orange, or Turquoise/Blue which is thought to be the most valuable buy some collectors (the blue). 
  
• This is the green yellow color and it is stunning.It has ivy leaves and the bottom background is green fading into dark brown from the bottom up. The top is uneven rim and there are camera glares not chips along it. All the shinny spots you see are camera flash or glare. When bright light or sun light hits this darker glazed area it virtually comes alive with color. See my photos.
  
• Like all the Wincraft pattern pieces it is high gloss. This sets it apart from most of the other Roseville pieces. It is 6.25 inches deep and 6.25 inches wide at the top opening.
  
• The hanging baskets are not marked.. this is guaranteed to be authentic and original Roseville. 
  

Condition: Exceptional. I find only one damage  to report, one of the leaves looks to be malformed...might be a manufacturing flaw as it is glazed over.. Look at my photos as they will aptly show the condition and the crispness of the mold and vibrancy of the colors. You will be very pleased with this purchase.

You will note a whitish creamy coloring over the surface of the piece...this is the glossy glaze that is unique to this pattern. It is on all the pieces and is part of the charm and it's identity. It sets this pattern apart from the rest. The last few pictures were taken at night and there fore have a different look to them than the ones taken during the day;

The chains may be original and they come with it. They are 20 inches long. They are rusted.

A word about VINTAGE pottery....The pottery I sell, as it is VINTAGE, is not refundable for reasons like crazing and other minor factory flaws. Reasons such as surface scratches, glaze skips, grinding marks, kiln flaws, and stilt pulls are not reasons for returns.
