Moving swiftly from an EP on the long-running punk label Lookout to a full-length album for Columbia Records, the Lashes made good on their hot streak with 2006's GET IT. On these 11eminently catchy tracks, the Seattle-based band charges through power-pop/garage-rock anthems with a swift, streamlined attack, as best revealed on the keyboard-driven "Safe to Say" and the surging "Yesterday Feels Like a Year." The Killers and the Strokes would be proud.
