This pancake lens arrangement compliments your rangefinder camera in a very stylish way and offers new creative opportunities for the Leica lover. Any pinhole shim, zone plate or zone sieve of up to 20mm diameter (0.78") can be inserted between the rings of the pancake lens.

Swapping the upper ring with the lower ring, the resulting focal length is either an ultra-wide-angle 24mm or wide-angle 30mm. As ultra-wide-angle it delivers a similar 84° wide angle of view as Elmarit 24 lens. Although the pancake lens fits deep into the camera-body, it's face is totally flat, with 3mm not as high as the controls on the camera itself.

When fitted with a 0.2mm / 200 µm micron sized pinhole you may obtain beautiful photographs with a timeless soft character. Vignetting of corners just begins to become noticeable and adds to the retro-effect.

Alternatively you can easily insert a zone-plate (max. 20mm diameter) into the pancake.

The pinhole pancake itself is now made of 316L jewelry grade stainless steel.
