On its sophomore album, Pennsylvania band Last Tuesday serves up another offering of religiously inspired punk-tinged pop rock. BECOME WHAT YOU BELIEVE features 10 tracks of shimmering, fast-paced rock. built around sharp rhythms and an unfussy production. The album has a certain weight to it, but the guitar effects and singer Steve Gee's slightly nasal vocals keep the band's sound from getting too dark. The song lyrics testify to the band members' beliefs, as the album title suggests, and their ongoing struggle with the question of how best to live in the world as a Christian.
