Volkl's best selling powder ski returns for 2009.  Slightly narrower than the Katana, and with a lighter and much livelier feel, this is truly a ski that can make any skier into a powder hero.  Very easy to get from turn to turn and with tons of flotation for deep stuff, the Gotama still has what it takes to run on the groomers as well.  When matched up with the Mojo 15 binding, you get a light weight package to get you in and out of the backcountry with ease.  Check out these features of the Volkl Gotama:

• Multi Layer Wood Core - This high tech structure is made up of two wood cores: a denser and more powerful core in the binding mounting area and running along the ski's top layer; and a lighter wood core as a lower layer. Bonded together to create one wood core, and wrapped with the TOUGH BOX construction, this new construction provides precise skiing performance, turning and jumping ease, and an improved binding connection platform.  Still Volkl smooth, very quiet, and yet tons of pop from turn to turn.
• Tough Box Construction - The core is surrounded by a box of fiberglass.  This is Volkl's burliest construction ever, and is constructed by wrapping the the POWER CONSTRUCTION wood core with layers of fiberglass strands. Made up of numerous 4 X 4 wraps, and oriented at different angles the TOUGH BOX increases the strength of the connection between ski binding and ski.
• Armed Edges for increased durability - The anchors that hold the edges in place are larger, and penetrate deeper toward the skis center.  This reduces the chance of an edge pull out when the ski strikes that unseen rock that often hides below the best and deepest snow.
  
• Power Contruction with ABS sidewalls offer the ultimate in durability and on snow feel.  Energy is transferred very efficiently for better control, and enhanced feel.  Very resistant to twisting forces and still lots of rebound from turn to turn.  ABS smooths out the ride, and resists sidewall damage better than other materials.
• Dimension 3 Sidecut – The shape of the ski is designed so that the maximum amount of the edge is in contact with the snow when the ski is flexed into the turn. Because there is more edge in contact with the snow, turns are very easy to initiate, and edge hold is improved.

Tyrolia Mojo 15 rocks!  This binding may be the best value of any freeride binding on the market.  Full Race Diagonal components in a super light, super durable package.  Max DIN of 15, so you can set em on stun if you really want to stay in.  Wide brake is included, so there is nothing extra to buy.  Very cool!

• Diagonal Heel is a unique feature among all ski bindings.  In a forward, twisting fall, only Tyrolia has the ability for the boot to release in a twisting direction at the heel. 
• ABS (Anti Blocking System) has a moving track under the boot toe to ensure low friction as the boot moves sideways to release at the toe or absorb shocks.  No Teflon pieces to get worn out, degrading the performance of the release at boot toe.
• Race Diagonal toe allows vertical release at the toe in backward falls, and comes with a bomb proof metal housing.  Even the adjustment screw is protected by a spring loaded door.
• TRP toe with four roller bearings inside the pincer toe cup allows the boot to absorb shocks and return to center very quickly with super low friction. 
• Very strong and yet light construction is very durable for many days of use by even the most aggressive skiers.
• With a DIN range of 5 to 15, this binding will work for just about any adult skier.

The Scott goggles feature an Amplifier lens (no chrome coating for better flat light performance), and a great fit for average faces, with helmet or without.  The Scott Pro Taper carbon pole is super light, with the Contour grip (one of the nicest grips you will find on any ski pole).  This is not the normal, cheapy free stuff you might expect.  This goggle and pole is a great compliment to this state of the art ski and binding.  (Actual pole and/or goggle color/model may vary, please inquire at time of purchase.)

Save yourself more money, and time too!  We will premount your bindings for the small additional charge of $20.00 if you wish.  Just add $20.00 to your PayPal payment, and include the length of your boot sole in the message box.  We will install the bindings to that length boot, hand tune the tips and tails, and wax the bases as well.  When your new skis arrive, you will only need to have the bindings final adjusted to your exact boot, and have the DIN setting adjusted to your personal specs.
