Disney design artist Randy Noble designed the logo on this
classic coin. The coin face has the very popular logo from the first Star Wars film from
the 1970s "A New Hope" with both Mickey and Minnie as Jedi Luke Skywalker and
Princess Leia warming up their light sabers and ready to fight evil together. And to
protect your coin it comes in a durable Plexiglas case
THE FIRST AUTOGRAPH is by the actress Amy Allen who as you probably
know played Aayla Secura in episode 2 & 3. In Revenge of the Sith (Ep III) she dies as
the Sith lords try to take over and assassinate most of the Jedi Knights. She is described
on the Star Wars official website as
|
"... athletic build, an exotic
beauty, and deep cerulean hue, Aayla Secura stood out among the many faces of the Jedi
ranks. She was a Jedi Knight during the twilight years of the order, and operated out of
the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. During the Separatist crisis that threatened to split the
Republic, Secura was a member of a 200-Jedi strong taskforce sent to the distant world of
Geonosis to rescue captive Jedi. In the massive battle that ensued, Secura was one of the
few survivors. She was brusquely marched by Geonosian warriors into a circle of Jedi
survivors to await execution. The sudden arrival of clone trooper reinforcements spared
her that fate. Secura would then lead her own squad of clone troopers into the thick of
the Geonosian battle, her lightsaber shimmering in the billowing dust, forming a
luminescent beacon for the trained Republic infantrymen to follow." |
THE SECOND AUTOGRAPH is from the actor Peter Mayhew who
played the Wookie Chewbacca in all Star Wars episodes. His character, Chewbacca or
"Chewey" is described on the Star Wars official website as
|
" An immense, fur covered warrior of
great strength and loyalty, Chewbacca the Wookiee was a well-known figure in both the
underworld and in the Rebel Alliance. Born on Kashyyyk over two centuries before the
Battle of Yavin, Chewbacca was a wise, sophisticated being with exceptional skills in
starship piloting and repair.
Chewbacca is a veteran of the Clone Wars, the galaxy-wide conflict that pitted the clone
armies of the Republic against the droid forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
The Wookiee was part of the high command tasked with protecting Kashyyyk from droid
invasion. There, he served with fellow Wookiee Tarfful and the Jedi Master Yoda." |
If your the lucky winner you will receive as
your second bonus, the above photo of Peter Mayhew autographing your coin.
THE THIRD AUTOGRAPH is by none other than the Disney Design
Artist who created this fantastic coin and also created all the other Star Wars Weekends
official artwork for the 2004 event, Senior Disney Design Artist, Mr. Randy
Noble. You will also receive the above photo with Randy autographing the coin he
designed. (Randy has an extensive artist bio which is below in this column).
