LADY AND THE TRAMP. From Walt Disney in 1955, their "first all cartoon feature in CinemaScope, in color by Technicolor." The voice cast includes Peggy Lee, Barbara Luddy, Bill thompson, Bill Baucon, and Stan Freberg. Peggy Lee also wrote the music and lyrics with Sonny Burke.

This still was most likely used to promote the film when it was shown by secondary theater owners. Many films released in the late 1940s and early 1950s were sent out in their final runs to secondary theaters by regional distributors. To help promote the films, the regional distributors would purchase promotional materials such as Stills directly from National Screen Service, since NSS at that point woujld have an excess of material in their warehouses from first run showings. To protect their investment, the distributors would clip-off the NSS copyright and return notices on the Stills (in particular) so that they were sent back to the distributor and not NSS after the run was completed. Thus, these Stills are both original and "as issued" by the distributors, and what might be considered damage otherwise has to be evaluated in the context of which they were used.

This is an Original Walt Disney Productions Still used to promote the film in 1955 with distributor-cut National Screen Service Stills. The condition is nice Very Good, creasing at the upper left to middle border edge, a distributor cut at the lower left corner to remove the National Screen Service credit and return information.
