The Chinese invented cymbals way back when my European Ancestors were still falling out of trees. The pronounced bell was actually a handle; two cymbals were struck together in order to strike fear in the heart of enemies during battle. Then some smart drummer drilled a hole in the bell and the rest is history.

Only genuine Wuhan cymbals are made the same way as they were thousands of years ago for that original dark, trashy and explosive sound! This 16" cymbal is hand-hammered and all hand-made. It's brand new, still in its bag. And yes, it has a hole in the bell! These cymbals are rustic, hand-made instruments and bear marks of hand-hammering.  All Wuhan cymbals sold through Franklin Mott Drums are personally selected from the American warehouse and inspected for quality and craftsmanship.They are not "factory-seconds" or "B-stock;" all are never-played new instruments.
