Ferguson--First Woman of Texas and was written by CARL RANDALL McQUEARY & MAY NELSON PAULISSEN, Ph.D., with a foreword by the late former Texas Governor ANN RICHARD;  it was published by Eakin Press of Austin, Texas in 1994 and is a STATED 1st EDITION copy!

"Ma" Ferguson, the authors show both sides of this remarkable woman.  Her political triumph and failures are fully detailed while her recipes are tied to specific events.  From her chicken fried steak to her sweet pickled peaches, Ma Ferguson cooked like the people she served.
