Michael Cimino directs this tough, controversial crime thriller penned by Oliver Stone. Advocating unprecedented degrees of psychological manipulation and violence, Joey Tai (John Lone) climbs his way to the top of the ladder to become the kingpin of the Chinese Mafia in New York City.

Stanley White (Mickey Rourke), is the most decorated cop in town who, despite his distinct hatred of Asian people developed during his service in Vietnam, is given the responsibility of maintaining law and order on the streets of Chinatown. Both men, prone to rule-breaking, will do anything to uphold their side of the street, all of which inevitably climaxes into unavoidable, bloody gang warfare.
