Actors John Dall Letters Ref Betty Davis, Frank Sinatra

This is a very interesting lot of personal correspondence written to a Ms. Thea Woods from several actors living in Hollywood during the times of 1943-1948.  There is a total of 14 letters.  I have been able to decipher that several of the letters were written by John Dall who was nominated for an academy award for his role in "The Corn is Green" with Betty Davis.  The letters took place during his time auditioning and through filming.  There are also letters from John Clement (who I have not been able to locate info on) and others.   I'm sure with a little more time and research more could be found out.  The letters include references and gossip about many famous actors of the time including:

Cary Grant

Constance Bennett

Lauren Hutton

Joan Bennett

Erroll Flynn

Olivia deHavilland

Gig Young

Johnny Carson

Dinah Shore

Merle Oberon

Most of these are just passing references without detail but still a very interesting group of letters from the time.
