Crafted with artistic excellence, this authentic djembe drum blends sonorous beats with visual delight. Drums such as this one originate from Benin, where it is used to accompany voodoo rites. Samuel Coleman names this djembe Kete, in honor of the dance of the same name usually performed by the Akans of the Ashanti region. Coleman hand-carves this djembe from local tweneboa wood, and the drumhead is made of goatskin. A fanciful rope net embellishes the piece and wood polish tints the wood. Enjoy the rhythmic soul of Africa with this superb djembe masterpiece.
