This auction is for MONIN, by MONICA MONTOYA O'BRIEN. Although she is #12 of a limited edition of only 25, I consider her a OOAK as well, because since O'Brien made and painted each of them individually, one can only assume there are infintisimal variations between them. MONIN is 16 inches tall and made of lumicast resin with a cloth body and wire armature. She has long, light brown human hair and gorgeous blue hand-painted eyes. She also has human hair inset eyelashes. She wears a brown dress, a single-strand simple necklace, and a crochet cap that matches the dress. The dress has tiny delicate "pearl" buttons on each sleeve. It buttons in the back and is fully removable. Under the dress is a simple white shift which also buttons in back and is fully removable. She also wears a pair of pantaloons that match the slip. Under the slip, on the cloth part of her back, she is signed by the artist ' "MON(N #12 original by Monica Montoya O'Brien". In her delicate yet realistic hands, she holds a pink stuffed bunny, but you can put anything you want to display in that spot. She is meant to be posed seated. She did not come with a chair, but I will include the chair you see in the photos with BIN upon request. She has been carefully displayed and stored in my smoke-free home and has no flaws that I am aware of - no missing, broken or repaired digits - etc. I am her first and only owner. She originally retailed for $695. I am offering her for a starting bid of just under $300 and NO RESERVE. She did not come with a box and the signature on her back is her "Certificate of Authenticity".
