He would allow the other actors on his radio and television shows to get the laugh. He developed a personna that was extremely miserly with money, vain beyond reason and a talentless violinist. This character was enhanced by a talented cast of actors who worked with Jack, including Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, Mary Livingstone and Don Wilson.
