Condition is good. Hardcover with green boards, mild soil, moderate edgewear. No dust jacket. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked,typical mild age tanning. PO embossed stamp first blank page
This could be called the bible of DIY Midcentury Modern outdoor building and garening. Blurring the line between indoors and outdoors was a big tenant of the modern architecture and this book will help you achieve that in style. Original copyright is 1959, this is the 1971 edition printed in 1979, and as you can see from the photos and sketches it is most definately a Mid Midcentury book. Just the ticket to create a modernist exterior for your Neutra, Eichler, Ranch or other Eames Era home.
 
 
Thorough and complete how to instructions with 100s of photos, illustrations, and measured plans for:

Book is conveniently divided into Part 1-Woodworking and Part 2-Masonry. Both parts are very thorough ( see photo of contents page). Tools, materials, and clear and specific instructions for working with each type of material are included.
 
Even if you don't see a design here that appeals to you this book gives you the knowledge to invent your own. For example, there is a handy "TABLE OF MEASUREMENTS AND HEIGHTS FURNITURE FOR ADULTS". Also a table for children's furniture heights.
