Here is a complete kit that allows you to add a shower to most any bathtub of legs (clawfoot tub.) The kit includes a beautiful brand new chrome diverter bath faucet (made in USA) that would replace your existing faucet (3-3/8" center to center measurements, fit's most any clawfoot tub). Then screw the included 2 piece 61" chrome plated brass riser together and into the swivel connection on the top of the bath faucet. Next, attach the included water saving showerhead to the top of the riser, attach the included wall bracket, and you're done. The kit is simple to install, and comes complete with everything you need. Once installed, you can use your faucet to fill the bath just as you did before, or simply pull up the diverter on the faucet to divert the water to your new shower.
