You will be bidding on SHORT STORY CLASSICS/American - Volumes 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 (only 4 are pictured).  The were published by P. F. Collier & Son, New York.

Stories included are:  Rip Van Winkle, Murders in the Rue Morgue, Balacchi Brothers, The Liar, A Purple Rhododendron, A Red-Haired Cupid, The Damned Think, Brother Rabbit's Cradle, How The Raven Died and many, many more.

The books measure 5 1/2" by 8 1/4"; total weight is 6 lbs. 6 oz. before packaging.

The books are in fair to good condition with wear on edges and volumes 1 and 5 have loose bindings; all are intact, no pages missing.
