TWO OFFICIAL US MILITARY ACU MOLLE SUSTAINMENT POUCHES

You can buy two pouches like the ones shown on the pictures below.  These pouches are used but perfectly serviceable.  They might have some dirt and will be marked DRMO, but they will have no holes and the buckles and snaps will work fine. 

The Sustainment Pouch allows the user to expand the carrying capacity of the MOLLE main pack and/or Assault Pack or large Rucksack.  Each Pouch adds 432 Cubic Inches of external ruckspace.  The pouch straps to the side of the main pack in the Rifleman Set.

This is the REAL THING made by SDS.

 The pouch is designed for use with the MOLLE II Large Ruck, Patrol Pack, Tactical Thigh Panel, or the Fighting Load Carrier. It is a super general purpose pouch. The picture shows 3 complete MRE Meals inside pouch to give you an idea of the size plus other items. The approximate dimensions are 11" X 6" X 9". It has a cord cinch closure at the top of the pouch in addition to the cover flap.

Each sustainment pouch attaches easily to the Rifleman's Main Pack or to the Assault Pack or to the Large Rucksack as shown here.  I hear of people using them in other configurations, even with non-government issue rucks.  They have straps and snaps that make it possible to rig them in many ways for secure attachment.
