Hi!  You're looking at an excellent condition book which is a fascinating study of bird life in the Holy Land through a study of the Holy Bible by birdwatcher and Biblical Scholar ALICE PARMELEE--it's in outstanding shape with a light crease along the spine edge of the front cover and light shelfwear.  The book is titled All the Birds of the Bible:  Their Stories, Identifications, and Meaning and was written by ALICE PARMELEE;  it was published by Keats Publishing, Inc. in September 1988.

From the fifth day of Creation on, the Bible is alive with the swift presence and color of the "fowls of the air"--Noah's raven and dove, the stork who "knoweth her appointed times", the ravens who fed Elijah in the wilderness, the vociferous "turtle" (dove) of the Song of Solomon, the cock whose crowing marked Peter's betrayal, and the triumphant eagles of John's revelation.  The author traces each of the 300 references to birds in the Bible, identifies the species and explores the meaning--whether factual observation, prophetic imagery or telling parable--of each such mention.

A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this book!

Thanks very much for looking, and good luck if you're bidding!  Also be sure to check out all of my other great books currently listed on ebay auctions--I can combine shipping for multiple purchases!
