CANON F-1 F1 1980 Olympics Lake Placid w/50mm lens EX

Up for your consideration is this excellent and rare 1980 Lake Placid Olympic edition Canon F-1 35mm SLR Film Camera.   Camera has been tested and works great, the roll of film I took came out great(we always run a roll of film through our cameras before listing).  There is no shutter squeak, the light meter seems very accurate(may be a bit off due to the 1.5v battery but that is easily corrected with a 1.35V battery or by adjusting the ASA, regardless, the pictures turn out perfect) and the light seals and mirror bumper are all brand new. (don't even think about buying one that hasn't had this done, I have never seen a F-1 that didn't need it at this age.  A tiny bit of dust in the viewfinder and focusing screen(screen D grid) looks great.  Body does have some expected brassing, light corrosion at the film door, some light scuffs, and the little cover where the EE servo would attach is missing(has no effect on operation) this is an outstanding working example

The Canon F-1 is a wonderfully built, solid brass camera that is simple to operate, with it's match needle metering system, and unbelievably expandable.  Taking one a part to clean is a simple joy, everything fits, everything is so over built, it will amaze you that you can buy one for this price.  Completely manual camera, no battery needed to operate, mirror lock-up, interchangeable focusing screens, finders, film backs, etc.  If you want a camera that will never let you down, this is the one.  From the North pole to the Sahara, this is what the Pros always turn to

We normally ship twice a week, Tuesdays and Fridays.  If you paid via paypal and we are using USPS(95%) you will receive an email from our shipping software with a link to the tracking number so you can check the progress of your delivery at the carrier's web site. Please note that tracking numbers are assigned before our carrier actually picks up your shipment; tracking links may take up to 24 hours to be activated within the carrier's system.
