This magnet pictures Thomas More (1478-1535), English lawyer, scholar, author, knight, statesman and Catholic saint. He was executed for treason after refusing to honor Parliament over the Pope, for which he was canonized in 1935 by Pope Pius XI. Traditional Catholics celebrate his feast day on July 6, the day of his martyrdom.
More's most controversial work, the novel Utopia, was written in 1516. In it he touted religious tolerance, maybe not reckoning that tolerance would soon be tested by the likes of Martin Luther with his 95 Theses. Within a decade, More's religious tolerance had deteriorated sufficiently that he had Lutherans burned at the stake. Doesn't seem very saint like. When it was More's turn to be executed, Henry VIII treated him with a more humane beheading.
Prior to becoming Henry VIII's counselor, More was an undersheriff in London. In Henry's service, More was knighted, made under treasurer, Speaker of the House of Commons and eventually Lord Chancellor.

Please be advised that my magnets are NOT three dimensional. They do not light up, make noise or tell  time. They are flat pictures (in other languages that's: El imán es una imagen plana. L'aimant est une image plate. Der Magnet ist ein flaches Bild. Il magnete è un'immagine piatta. De magneet is een vlakke afbeelding. ) printed on flat flexible 30ml magnetic vinyl with a protective satin-finish top coating and hand finished edges.
They are roughly twice the thickness and strength of magnetic material found at office supply stores, and the average size magnet holds 1-2 sheets of paper.
My magnets can't rust so they won't introduce rust to your refrigerator or file cabinet, and they're flexible, with no sharp metal corners to scratch the finish. |

| Q. What about durability?
A.  To clean, wipe with a damp cloth. Do not soak, use abrasives or apply cleaning products containing bleach or solvents. I've run them through the dishwasher without disaster, but they'll last longer if you keep them out of puddles and away from puppy teeth. And they're most definitely not suited for exterior display. |

A. Most magnet orders are shipped by 1st class mail, in standard business envelopes (so watch your mail and don't throw the envelope away, mistaking it for a bill or junk mail.) For moisture protection, they are packed inside a poly bag, and to prevent bending are sandwiched between sheets of cardboard. |
