Payments:

Winning bidder is expected to contact me within 3 days of auction close and payment is expected within 10 days of auction close.

I go out of my way to provide very accurate item descriptions, including all known flaws. As my feedback shows, satisfied buyers are very important to me. I've developed many personal and business relationships on eBay and expect to make many many more.

Shipping and Packing:

I pack so that your purchase will arrive in the same condition it leaves. I am very familiar with the minimum standard shipping requirements and pack to far exceed them. I use premium packing materials, recycled when available. Nobody is happy getting something broken, and, as my feedback will attest, I go to great lengths to prevent this regardless of the cost of the item.

FedEx Ground is my preferred shipper, however USPS is available but may delay shipment by a day or so. Bax Global is my primary shipper for large and heavy items (domestic and international). Smaller sized international packages usually go by EMS Express when possible.  Insurance (recommended) is optional and at the winners expense.

I generally ship within 3 business days of payment arriving in good order.

"Handling" Charges:

I know this is a touchy subject on eBay, here is my very candid take on Shipping and Handling (S&H).

 

As a full time professional eBay Trading Assistant virtually all my auction listings are for the benefit of a business or an individual that consigned them for sale.  For that reason, the auction winner is responsible for the costs associated with S&H. The shipping charge quoted in the auction description includes the costs of transit, materials, insurance and some of what's paid to Shawn our Shipping Guru for prepping your shipment to insure safe arrival.  Shawn is the "handler", and quite frankly might well be the best in the business. 

 

As my accountant keeps pointing out, S&H is not a profit center for me, and fees are generally in line with what other eBay seller's offer.  If you read my feedback, you'll see that we really go the extra mile to get your package out quickly and packed to the highest standards.

 

When you bid please factor in the shipping amount to get your total "landed cost" and make sure you're comfortable with what it cost to get your won item to your door.  I recognize that sometimes I'm a few $ over, and sometimes a few $ under, but can no longer "negotiate" posted shipping quotes after the auction, even if you threaten negative feedback.  It's not fair to the other members of eBay community that also bid, my clients, or me.  If you have a question or concern about anything, including transit, please ask before bidding.  I'm incredibly easy to get along with.  Pickup in Mountain View, CA is always free, welcome, and encouraged.  

 

The cost of export shipping includes fees that eBay has now instituted on international payments.

If you have significant negative feedback or have a feedback rating of less than 5, please contact me BEFORE bidding or you bid may be cancelled. Unless otherwise indicated all sales are "as-is" and "final sale".

Most items qualify for a SquareTrade warranty.  If you see their logo at the bottom you may purchase repair/replacement/refund coverage at the end of the auction.  They offer a valuable service and modest fees and I've heard nothing but great things about them.

International bidders are welcome on most items, but MUST email me to make shipping and payment arrangements BEFORE bidding, or your bid may be cancelled. I am happy to accommodate almost all reasonable (legal) requests. Customs and other shipping forms will always be factually completed. Please do not put me in the awkward position of declining any request to do otherwise.

**IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT FEEDBACK**

 

Please make sure you leave a rating of "5" on all detailed sellers ratings (DSRs) when you are leaving feedback.  Ebay recently made changes to their feedback system where sellers can suffer SEVERE penalties if anything besides a "5" is left and you may be hurting your favorite sellers without knowing it. What are these penalties?

 

*Any rating below 4.9:  Seller pays an additional 5% in fees to sell on ebay

*Any rating below 4.8:  Seller pays an additional 10% in fees to sell on ebay, and seller's listings are demoted in ebay's search - making them harder to find

*Any rating below 4.6:  Seller pays an additional 5% in fees to sell on ebay and loses powerseller status. Listings are further demoted in ebay's search

*Any rating below 4.3:  Penalty -Seller's listings are moved the the last pages of search results

*Any rating below 4.1:  Penalty - Seller is no longer allowed to list on ebay (Click here for ebay's policy of banning sellers at a 4.1 rating)

 

eBay tells you a "4" rating means the item was accurately described, that you were satisfied with the seller's communication, the item was shipped quickly, and the shipping charges were reasonable - which a normal person would say is a good thing. However,  ebay treats a "4" as a request to terminate the sellers's ebay account, charge the seller more, and make it difficult for bidders to find that seller's items. If you feel that the service you received does not warrant a "5" rating,  PLEASE contact us so we can resolve any issues for you. 

 

How accurate was the item description? 5 Stars= Very Accurate

 How satisfied were you with the seller's communication? 5 Stars=Very satisfied

How quickly did the seller ship the item? 5 Stars=Very Quickly
