| This 7.5" Russian plate is historic. It is the first porcelain collector's plate ever produced in Russia. It is also of Artistic importance because of gold leaf which is ground by hand, painted with sable brushes and using a wolfs tooth for polishing-creating exquisite lacquer works with a luminous that is unique in all the world. Every detail is captured in this plate titled "Ruslan and Ludmilla". 19 -karat gold is permanently fired into the porcelain.
