Hello! And welcome to our eBay auction!
Up for your consideration is a 100-year-old, 1907 Metropolitan Life Insurance Company calendar. This interesting yardlong panel features the four stages of life: a little girl, a young woman, a mature woman and an elderly woman. It has a couple issues, as apparent from our photos, those being a couple edge tears. We have a white cardboard backing, but with an acid-free backing matching the border color of the calendar, most of the damage will easily be camouflaged. The coloring is superb and the images are captivating! The calendar is framed in a vintage frame, complete with glass. The frame shows expected vintage wear. Overall measurements are approximately 10 1/4" by 32". Actual image measures approximately 7 3/4" by 20 3/4". Printed in tiny letters at the bottom left-hand corner it reads: Copyright 1906 by American Lithograph Co., N.Y. Rich Penn Auctions sold an identical print for $300, 4th Nov 07, Lot #1662. This is a dandy piece of antique advertising! It is quite difficult to find and only rarely surfaces on eBay. Do not allow it to slip away from your collection! Please note that our shipping quote INCLUDES full insurance coverage. Please view photos, as they are a big part of the description, and please be sure to ask all questions before bidding. Whenever possible, we are gladly willing to COMBINE SHIPPING for our valued customers!
Our reputation is very important to us and we make every effort to describe our items as accurately, clearly and explicitly as possible. Our Motto: We do not sell anything that we would not be proud to own ourselves. However, we want you to be aware that vintage and/or previously-owned items do have flaws that are sometimes difficult to see and accidently overlooked. You, as the potential buyer, have an obligation to ask any questions prior to the end of the auction. We strive for accuracy in our descriptions, and we're always happy to provide additional information. Make sure you know what you are buying by ASKING QUESTIONS, please!
We reserve the right to cancel any bids from bidders with recent negative feedback, or having a shipping address outside the United States. Please remember that eBay is an auction format; therefore, returns will only be allowed if we grossly overlooked a defect or an imperfection on an item. Buyer's remorse is NOT acceptable! Most of our items are used or vintage so they won't be in perfect condition. Returned items should be insured and any damage on return will be the responsibility of the buyer. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs both ways and pertinent fees. There is NO refund on shipping fees. Please feel free to check our other current listings for items that may interest you.
