This is a very cool stepback wood cupboard. I am not sure what the wood is. This piece assembled is a very large one-piece cupboard. The side boards go all the way up the side. It was built into the wall so the back was the wall. Our original intent was to re-assemble the cupboard before selling it. Then, it occurred to us that it would be easier to transport and place if we left it disassembled. From the images, it would be a fun zigsaw puzzle to put back together. It really would not be that difficult. I would add a piece of luann to the back for stabilization.

The piece is in very good condition. It does show a little wear from decades of use. The sides of the cupboard were against the walls so they are just rough unfinished wood. The wall was the backing so there is no backboard. The nails are sticking out and exposed just as it was as we disassembled it. It stands about 90" tall x 58" across the front. The base is 21 1/2" front to back and the top is 12" front to back.
