Though they began their career practicing an artier, more theatrical variant on the Led Zeppelin hard-rock sound, Queen's 1975 album A NIGHT AT THE OPERA is where they begin to show their own unique brand of eclecticism and compositional facility--not least on the quintessential classic-rock radio staple "Bohemian Rhapsody." This program offers a critical review of the landmark album through archival footage, live performance clips, and interviews with critics, musicologists, and surviving band members.

This item is a brand new, never played DVD of another in the "Classic Albums" Series. This volume cover Queen's classic "A Night At The Opera". This was their 4th album released in 1975 and it propelled them to superstardom. It's a fascinating look at the creation of the album. Included are:

• BRAND NEW INTERVIEWS with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor.
• COMMENTARY by original producer Roy Thomas Baker.
• ARCHIVAL PERFORMANCE and INTERVIEW FOOTAGE with late lead singer Freddie Mercury.
• INTERVIEWS and GUEST COMMENTARY by guitarists Joe Perry (Aerosmith), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople) and many more.
• NEW ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCES of ’39 and Love Of My Life by Brian May.
• DRUM and ACOUSTIC DEMONSTRATIONS of I ’m In Love With My Car from Roger Taylor.
• ANALYSIS OF THE RECORDING PROCESS of all12 tracks on the album.

Running time is 100 minutes. This is a must have if you are a classic rock fan. Note: This DVD also plays in Region 4 (Australia / New Zealand). While this is a brand new DVD, it is not shrink wrapped, but it came to me that way. Check out my other items!
