ROYAL ALBERT AMERICAN BEAUTY DEMITASSE CUP AND SAUCER

ONE OF THE PRETTIEST DEMIS ROYAL ALBERT MANUFACTURES

  

Up for auction is a vintage, Royal Albert, mini demitasse cup and saucer. The dainty cup measures 2.75 inches high and 2.50 inches in diameter at the top opening. The matching saucer measures 5 inches in diameter. The demitasse set is decorated with loads of beautiful, shaded, pink roses growing along thorny, leaf studded stems. A beautiful American Beauty Rose is also found inside the demi cup and on the bottom of both the cup and saucer. Gold accents along the top and bottom outer rims of both pieces and along the flowing handle complete this lovely demitasse set.

 

The Demi cup and saucer bear the mark of the Thomas C. Wild & Sons Ltd. Of Longton, England. The company was founded in 1894 and specializes in Royal Albert Bone China coffee, tea and table services. The pattern is named, “American Beauty.” The pattern was made from 1941 until discontinued in 1990. The cup and saucer are in MINT CONDITION WITH NO CRACKS, REPAIRS, PAINT, GOLD WEAR, CHIPS OR CRAZING. A pretty addition to a demitasse collection or a treasured and timeless gift for that “someone special.” Or treat yourself to a "treasure" that will last many more lifetimes.
