UP FOR AUCTION IS THIS BEAUTIFUL STERLING SILVER FRANKLIN MINT "INTERNATIONAL HISTORIC LOCOMOTIVE INGOT".

THIS IS THE ONLY ONE ON EBAY, IT IS THE FAMOUS "1835 ADLER".

 

I HAVE AN INCOMPLETE COLLECTION IN NICE CONDITION SO I DECIDED TO LET THEM GO 1 AT A TIME FOR THE TRAIN OR SILVER COLLECTORS.

   THE PICTURES SHOWN IN THIS AUCTION ARE OF THE TRAIN AND THE SET YOUR INGOT WILL COME FROM. YOUR INGOT WILL BE IN PROOF CONDITION.

THESE INGOTS WERE ISSUED IN 1977 BY THE FRANKLIN MINT AS PART OF A 50 STERLING SILVER INGOT "INTERNATIONAL LOCOMOTIVE SERIES INGOTS". ALTHOUGH SMALL THEY ARE VERY DETAILED AND MINTED IN FROSTED RELIEF, IN PROOF, WITH A MIRROR FINISH THAT THE FRANKLIN MINT IS FAMOUS FOR. THE FRONT SHOWS THE LOCOMOTIVE IN AMAZING DETAIL, THE REVERSE SIDE HAS THE LOCOMOTIVE'S NAME AND A BRIEF DESCRIPTION AND FRANKLIN MINTS HALLMARK IT ALSO SAYS STERLING 77. THESE INGOTS ARE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE AND MEASURE 3/8"x3/4".

 THESE 31 YEAR OLD INGOTS ARE STILL VERY NICE DUE TO THE MINTS FORESIGHT TO COAT THESE WITH AN ACRYLLIC COATING SO THEY DON'T TARNISH, AND CAN BE GENTLY HAND HELD TO ENJOY THEIR EXCEPTIONAL DETAIL AND CRAFTSMENSHIP. YOUR INGOT WILL BE REMOVED FROM IT'S BLUE VELVET HOME WITH A SPECIAL TOOL AND PLACED IN A NEW SMALL ZIPLOC JEWELRY BAG.
