Description :

This auction is for a 1:18th scale diecast model of the Chevrolet Corvette Mako Shark ZL-1 Show Car, in Shark Blue & Silver. It was produced by Motormax Models, for their Design 18 Series and is now out of production.

The Mako Shark was GM's design chief William Mitchell's greatest achievement. It was the ultimate example of Mitchell's demands of his designers, when he told them to make every car they design "look like it's moving when it's standing still!"

Vette Concept Car is complete and beautifully done, with excellent glass and chrome. It comes in "gently displayed" condition (has been in a showcase - no damage). Doors, hood and trunk open and the ZL-1 engine is under the hood. Comes with removeable "bubble" top. Has gorgeous "shark colors" finish and comes with the original window box.

It is a beautiful car, done by a solid manufacturer, that displays very well. It should make a nice addition to your vintage Chevy or GMC diecast car model collection.
