1989 US MINT PROOF PRESTIGE SET/Congressional $ + 1/2 $

This auction is for a 1989 US MINT PRESTIGE SET WITH CONGRESSIONAL COINS.  The set is proof and the leather binder/storage case is in near mint condition.  Certificate of Authenticity with all coin specifications from the San Francisco Assay Office (mint mark "S") are included.  In honor of the Bicentennial Congress, the United States Mint has produced these proof coins in a unique Prestige Set to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Congress.  The set includes both regular coinage (one cent, nickel, dime, quarter, and half-dollar) and a half-dollar and silver dollar (90% silver) commemorating the Bicentennial Congress 1789-1989. 

It comes with an outer cardboard box (mint condition) and the set is enclosed in a nice leather wallet.  Inside the leather case, the proof set can be turned like a page in a book to view the front and back sides of the seven coins.  This set has been properly stored and the coins maintain their original luster.  The nickel has a very light toning.  The pictures do not properly show the jewel-like beauty of these coins.  The coins have never been removed from their protective plastic covers.
