Gold Medal Winner at the Floriade in Holland in 2002. Flamboyant blooms of Japanese form are an exquisite combination of cherry-rose guard petals surrounding a tufted center of creamy-white to shell-pink interspersed with pink petaloids. A vigorous grower with light green foliage and strong stems. Blooms late mid-season. Grows 30 inches tall.

Zones 3 - 8   Peonies do best in a sunny, well drained location. Plant no closer than 3 to 4 feet with the eyes no deeper than 1-1/2 inches below the soil level. A mulch for winter protection is recommended.

 

Plant in a location with good drainage for best results. A gentle slope or raised bed makes an excellent location. Bulbs need not be dug in the fall.
