Hummel Goebel Figurine "Little Gardner"

• This figurine has the symbols of  TMK 2 1950-1955

• Condition: I am not an expert and have described the figurine to the best of my ability.  Owner kept her collection in a curio cabinet, behind glass doors. This figurine is in excellent condition.   No chips, cracks, or repairs can be seen by my eyes.  There is light crazing on figuine base and her left sleeve seems to have some tiny spots of missing paint. There may be more crazing, but I cannot see any. Minor blemishes are common in the manufacturing and hand painted rustic decorating process.  I see little or no wear on bottom of base.

Crazing definition from the M.I. Hummel Club: The existence of several minute cracks in the glaze of a ceramic object is called "crazing." As glaze is applied and fired onto the bisque figurine, the glaze may expand more than the ceramic body itself expands, resulting in tiny cracks in the glaze.  Many factors of production may cause crazing. It is a natural condition that may develop as the ceramic material ages. Atmospheric conditions can play a part in this process.
