How to apply

Skill Level of Installer

A handy person with proper instructions can install moderately sized Vinyl Decals. You may need another persons help if you have a large decal.

 

Each Decal at the time of purchase consists of 3 parts:

Please read this section carefully, especially if you are new to Vinyl Decal installations.

 

   1.  Application Paper is the mask that we apply to your decal that makes multiple items stay together. It is necessary for us to apply this mask to make decals ready for install. This mask is a clear plastic tape.

 

   2.  Decal

This is the actual adhesive decal that you have purchased. It is sandwiched between the application paper and the backing. The decal is what ends up installed to the surface.

 

   3.  Backing Paper

The backing is the wax paper that is applied to the “sticky” side of the decal. This backing keeps the decal from sticking to anything prior to install.

 

Cleaning and Prepping Surface:

A clean surface will help to ensure that your decal will stay in place for both the short and long run. If surface is at all dirty, wash with soap and water then rinse with water until there is no more soap or soap residue. Thoroughly wipe down the area of the surface to make sure surface is absolutely dry where decal is to be applied.

 

Application of Decal

Once the surface is clean, installation may begin. Unroll decal if shipped in tube and smooth out gently with either your hands or a credit card. This will help remove bubbles from shipping. Remove backing paper from decal and apply to your surface of choice. Decals are very sticky so use precision in applying to surface. Once applied to surface, use a credit card or something similar to go over the decal and application paper using moderate pressure. Then slowly pull off application paper, leaving your decal on your surface. Enjoy your decal.
