MY SISTER EILEEN
A Play by Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov
A RandomHouse Play
This book is a comedy by Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov. Based on the Stories by Ruth McKenney, with a Foreword by George S Kaufman.
This is a still-hilarious account of the childhood adventures of Ruth and Eileen from their schooldays through their migration to New York and Greenwich Village.
The stories go back to the days of peanuts and the silent movies, debating teams and bird hunts, girls' camps and Easter Eggs. It progresses through first lessons in being a waitress, the care and feeding of a Georgian Prince, the blushful experiences of a girl reporter interviewing Randolph Churchill.

This volume is in good to very good condition with one bruise to the top of the front board where a paper clip was installed. Also has top of pages bruised where paper clips held in place notes on how to perform the play and other documents pertaining to the play.
There are many pages with underlining and playwright notes - so this was a working document during a performance of this play.
There is some evidence of a professional reattachment of a few of the pages - that does not detract from the quality of the book.
The dust jacket is in good condition with rubbing and edge wear. Encased in a new mylay protective jacket! |
