This hardcover book was written by Jane Belk Moncure, illustrated by Linda Hohag and Lori Jacobson. Published by The Child's World, copyright 1988. One day Squirrel saw a sign about a Pie Sale and she decided to bake an acorn pie. Several friends, Mouse and Frog, came by and asked her to cut them a piece of pie. But Squirrel said no, the pie was for the sale. But while they went for a walk, leaving the pie to cool on the window sill, Pig came by and ate the whole thing! So Squirrel baked another pie and they divided it four ways. At the end of the book, it is shown how you can cut the pie into pieces from one to eight! Cute story about learning math.
