Presented for your consideration is a traditional crystal white wine glass with chunky twisted ribbed stem and amber accents.  This vintage glass has a clear blown and cut crystal cupola attached to blown ribbed stem.  The cupola has been etched with blossoms, leaves and vines. 

 

The name of this retired pattern shape is PIEROTH.  The name of the etched pattern is TROUBADOUR.  The pattern number is 2852.  This hock is a vintage German piece made by the Kristallglassmanufaktur Theresienthal GmbH, Zwiesel, Bavaria and is known as a 'Römer' glass here.  Used for serving white wines from the Rhine and Mosel riversides, it is in excellent condition.  There are no nicks, dings, chips, scratches nor repairs. 

 

Height: 5 1/4 inches

Diameter rim: 2 1/4 inches

Diameter base: 2 1/2 inches

Weight: 4.0 ounces

 

The ring is clear and lovely. 

 

This is the real thing and not the cheap department store kind.  If you take a look at the Theresienthal website (english version available), you will see that the glassware produced there is only marketed at the finest locations worldwide.
