You are purchasing a learning curriculum from 1937 called “Gibson System for Guitar, Hawaiian Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin”.  This curriculum contains 134 numbered pages and is housed within a special 3-ring binder labeled with the title of the curriculum!

 

This curriculum is from 1937 and is in pretty good condition for the age!

 

Horace Heidt and Alvino Rey apparently created this curriculum, though I cannot find the specific author mentioned anywhere.  

 

Alvino was an American musician of the swing era.  Horace Heidt is a legend in himself.  This curriculum is of excellent quality – and has scattered pictures peppering its pages.  Along with general instruction, words of wisdom and encouragement are giving on dedicated pages to the aspiring musician.  

 

 

This is a GREAT FIND for any collector of Gibson material, fans of curriculum of this nature, and even the budding musician wanting an antique musical instructional system!

 

Any additional information that could be provided to us concerning the this curriculum would be greatly appreciated.

 

 

 

 

Condition:  This piece is in good condition.  The curriculum has held up remarkably well – especially considering the fact that it is housed with in a 3-ring binder.  There is some writing within the curriculum from a previous student who had been working through it.  See item images for condition.

12 x 10 inches in size.
