Do not use MH, LED, or HPS!!!

 

It is importaint that the type of light you use is able to be used by the plant.  Incadescents, halogens, hps, mh, etc.. put out a TON of light, heat, and lumens, but most is not used by the plant to produce photosynthesis and growth.  Our cfl's are chosen for their low electrical use and because there is not wasted energy producing heat or light that cannot be utilized by plants.

 

 

 

 

MOST INTERNET AND EBAY SELLERS HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE SELLING.  Do not be fooled~~!

What is the best light for a plant?  Of course it is SUNLIGHT!  What type of bulb most closely mimics this light??? 

 

FLUORESCENTS!!

 

 

Tanning Beds use Fluorescent Bulbs!  Why???

The bulbs in tanning beds are the same as what we use to grow plants! 

They produce UV light (which most closely matches that of the sun) they are safe, practical, and economical vs. alterative bulbs.

I would never use LED lamps (these do not produce enough UV light and plants will not respond well to these LED color spectrums).  The red & blue lights human eyes see are not the same as what a plant can use… I laugh when I see & test these LED panels!!!    

 

I would never think of using HPS or MH lamps due to high cost and high heat!
