Description:

A really nice Toakoki Seisakusho Toa Optical Works Black Gelto D lll #4385, with a Anastigmat Grimmel 50mm f4.5 #8481. Circa 1938.
In pretty good condition for it's age. Biggest fault is it's missing the folding latch key on the top, to open for loading. If you really want it open I'm sure a small screwdriver inserted in one of the holes will do the trick. Or a piece of wire bent into a U shape would do the trick. Shutter speeds sound OK at the faster speeds, but do hang up as you slow it down. I doubt they're accurate. Focus is a bit stiff, and stutters sometimes. Viewfinder is a bit hazy, but not too bad.
Black paint on the top is mostly nice, except for the right side, where it's badly brassed, probably from a case. Bottom has quite a few minor surface scratches. Leatherette could use a good cleaning. It does show some wear and has some "bumps" on the back, but not too bad. I just noticed two small screws on the back are missing. Can't be too noticeable if it took me 3 days to see it.
